Nutritional Awareness

We cherish families as their children’s first teachers.  We work together to create an intimate bond with each family that provides the foundation for your child’s success.  Our goal is to communicate with each family about your child’s day.  Families receive updates throughout the day about feedings, meals, diaper changes, pottying, and activities that each child has participated in.  Each family has an opportunity to communicate with classroom teachers in the morning and afternoon and throughout the day through a messaging portal in our app.

Family conferences are held each year in December and May to provide an opportunity to discuss and share online portfolios to demonstrate how each student is progressing toward developmental milestones.  Teachers work with families to develop goals for each student.

Communication With Families

We believe that each child should receive well-balanced meals in a healthy eating environment.  We provide breakfast, lunch and snack for our early childhood students.  Supper is also served to our afterschool students.  Our menu consists of fresh and organic fruits, vegetables, grains dairy and complete proteins.
We use a hands-on approach to explore and discuss food groups, healthy food choices and serving sizes.
Family-style meal service is provided in each classroom.  Students practice serving themselves as we promote autonomy.
As we incorporate our farm-to-table initiative, students will engage in planting, growing, and tasting various fruits and vegetables.  Students will also participate in activities to develop a better sense of healthy eating that will allow them to make healthy choices which will influence them throughout their life.
